Flexible Schedule (We offer hours from Monday-Sunday) Typical work schedule is 8am-4pm or 8am-12noon.
Education:
High School Diploma Required or equivalency, AS preferred with an emphasis on Wildlife Biology, Zoology or related field preferred.
Or NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician, Or the equivalent of 3 years' experience working with and managing exotic and native wildlife as well as experience teaching in informal/formal educational settings.
Experience:
With education above, minimal 1 year experience working with and managing exotic and native wildlife.
Minimal 1 year experience teaching in an informal/formal educational setting and developing/delivering educational programs to the public.
Demonstrates experience in standardized husbandry skills, including animal handling, transport, acclimation and care, management of safety protocols, quarantine and clinical treatments, behavioral and environmental enrichment.
Experience working with adults with disabilities a plus, with training provided.
Skills:
Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Effective ability to think strategically and deal with changing priorities, emergent issues and multiple projects.
Ability to professionally represent and promote Bridges For Brain Injury, Inc.
, maintain confidential information, work as a team member and work independently with minimum supervision.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, possess ability to collaborate with other members of the provider team and interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
Must be flexible and dependable and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
Valid NYS Driver's License is required for this job position! Job Type:
