This is a multifaceted technology support role that oversees the day-to-day maintenance, implementation, updates, and cyber security needs companywide for both our east and west coast offices and mills.
This position is on-site full-time with some remote work flexibility.
The Technology Specialist works closely with department heads and other staff members to solve technology related issues, keep equipment in good working order, manage and develop new systems and procedures for technology maintenance and improvements, and presents strategic and other recommended technology improvements to the overall leadership team.
We have offices on both coasts; visits to our Oregon offices will occasionally be required.
Required
Experience:
3-8 years proven comprehensive I.
T.
Support/ Management experience in-house.
Working in-depth knowledge of relevant operating systems, hardware, software, programming, cyber security, and networks including Windows, Mac, and mobile.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Keen attention to detail.
Good organization, time management, and prioritization of tasks.
Efficient troubleshooting abilities.
Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening.
Strong service and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries efficiently.
Ability to determine I.

needs and train end-users.
Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security/ cyber security.

Required Education:
Associates degree in related field or higher.

Responsibilities:
Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
Implement security measures and keep current on relevant best practices.
Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements.
Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer/server problems.
Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating hardware/software and server systems etc.
Maintaining the technological infrastructure on both coasts.
Troubleshooting and fixing issues with hardware/software systems across multiple locations where some overnight travel is required.
Ensuring that systems are up-to-date and secure.
Providing technical support to other employees.
Creating, presenting, and implementing I.
T.
policies and procedures.
Conducting trainings on new technology and software.
Installing and configuring hardware and software systems.
Managing user accounts and access to systems.
Performing data backups and disaster recovery procedures.
Conducting regular security audits and ensuring that systems are up to date with security patches as needed.
Build and manage third party software and hardware vendors/ relationships.
Identify and implement workshop process improvements through technology integration.
Identify and implement multi-location process improvements through technology integration.
